Exhibition and market of special and unusual plants, bulbs, books, equipment and furniture, in the Castle Park Masino - Caravino (TO)

Saturday 16 and Sunday, October 17, 2010 the park of the Castle of Masino, in Caravino (Torino), will host the sixth edition of "Two days in the autumn", exhibition and market of unusual plants and special in a spectacular show of colors and Autumn flavors, organized by the FAI - Italian Environmental Fund under the careful direction of the architect Paul Pejrone, founder and President of the Piedmont Garden.

The event this year will offer to all experts or simple gardening enthusiasts the unique opportunity to meet up with over 125 of the best Italian and European nurserymen, Masino to present their collections of point and interesting news. In this season of renewal and preparation for the next year, visitors can then read up on plants and flowers for the "garden that will be", and purchase rare and ancient orchard and garden products, which are usually difficult to find.

Exhibitors will offer highly qualified and specialized autumn-flowering plants, ornamental berries, decorative leaves, trees and shrubs in autumn color, aromatic and medicinal plants, fruit and vegetables, bulbs, tubers and rhizomes in spring bloom, rare seeds, winter-flowering roses, daffodils addition, botanical tulips, iris re-bloom, bulbs, tubers and rhizomes, collections of rare lavender and aromatic plants, bamboo plants and bamboo structures for gardens, ornamental and edible pumpkins, equipment for the care of the garden, the garden and orchard, and vases decorated Baskets, specialized publications, pictures with pressed flowers.

There will also be presented and sold local produce from the garden and orchard in autumn, most of which are "Slow Food" because of their exceptional quality and because they meet the criteria of seasonality, typical spatial and short chain. Among these ox heart from Carmagnola peppers and paprika framework of Cuneo, leeks and turnips Cervere; cardoons in Nizza Monferrato, white thistle and yellow onions, slender Andezeno, savoy cabbage and cauliflower Montalto Dora Moncalieri, Turin radishes; blue and brown potatoes in Val Susa and mountain potatoes, apples Annurca of Benevento Sorrento walnuts and hazelnuts from Piedmont.

Among the novelties of this edition: furniture and objects for the garden in recycled metal, equipment beekeeping for honey production and dairy products, clothing and handmade fabrics garden frame, packaging and textile accessories "Casentino" pigeon English wood products ornithological.

Also, Saturday, Oct. 16, at 15:00, Paul Pejrone the architect will present his book entitled "Time is a tree that grows" by Luisa Pulcher (Instar Editions Books).

In addition, you can take guided tours of the interior of the castle of Masino by students and faculty of the Institute of Higher Education "Piero Martinetti" of Calumet.

And for kids: Saturday and Sunday will be organized recreational and educational workshops for children in care Spassatempo.

Rest Areas:

- Area for dining, adjacent to the exhibition, with hot dishes, the menu of typical local tradition Canavese.

- "Castle Restaurant" at the fair Marchesa Vittoria, with a seasonal menu (information and reservations 0125.778486).
