FAI-fondo per l'ambiente italiano Saturday 28 and Sunday, November 29, 2009 Villa Necchi Campiglio will host the first edition of "Early Winter. Flavors, fragrances, colors, "selling exhibition organized by the Italian Environment Fund in collaboration with the Academy of Piedmont Garden chaired by architect Paul Pejrone, former director for the FAI's" Three days in the Garden "and" Two days to the autumn, "the Castle of Masino (TO) and of" The awakening of the flowers "hosted in March at Villa Necchi.

The event will discover and buy flowers, fruits and garden products in the winter and will grow in the garden of the villa, as well as in some internal spaces and the tennis court adequately covered. Protagonists of the thirty exhibitors - carefully selected by the Academy of Piedmont Garden on the basis of quality and typicality of land - which they will submit to Villa Necchi products horticultural excellence Piedmont madernasse like pears, apples, peppers of Carmagnola, Blue Mountain potatoes, pumpkins, leeks Cervere, in a colored and smelling of violets, hellebores early, sasanque camellias, rare orchids, cyclamen, bergenie bulmi, berry bushes. On display, among others, collections of rosemary in bloom, cooking spices, herbs for soups and hot peppers.

And yet, fine floral embroidery for the garden, botanical herbaria pressed by the British artist Stuart Thornton and a selection of botanical watercolors by painter Silvia Molinari.

During the event will also be organized numerous meetings and conferences on the theme of the gardens, with the following program:

Saturday, November 28:

  • at 15 Caotorta Francesca Marzotto, a writer and journalist, will present the latest book by Paul Pejrone, "The patience of the gardener" (Einaudi).
  • at 16.30 demonstration of compositions of fruit and vegetables by Margaret Angelucci of leaves, flowers and fantasy. In collaboration with Gardenia.

Sunday, November 29:

  • at 11.30 demonstration of compositions of fruit and vegetables by Margaret Angelucci of leaves, flowers and fantasy. In collaboration with Gardenia.
  • Presentation of Agenda 15 at 2010 Gardenia, illustrated by Silvia Molinari.
  • at 16 Julius Höh, STIHL CEO, will discuss "Applied Ecology - Mulching, composting and green fuels."
